Job Description Logistics

Hours 8am-5pm Central

Start Immediate

We are looking for a User Experience / Visual Designer who can own end-to-end design across our digital products- from discovery and wireframing to high-fidelity visual design and handoff. You’ll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and other stakeholders to create intuitive, visually compelling experiences. Our primary design tool is Figma, and you’ll help us maintain and evolve our design system within it.

Key Responsibilities User Experience Design

Translate business and user needs into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction patterns.

Conduct or collaborate on user research (interviews, usability tests, surveys) to validate design decisions.

Create low- to high-fidelity prototypes in Figma for testing and stakeholder review.

Design responsive experiences across desktop, web, and mobile where applicable.

Visual & Interaction Design

Produce high-quality UI and visual designs (layouts, typography, iconography, color, and illustrations) that align with brand guidelines.

Define interaction states, micro-interactions, and transitions that improve usability and delight.

Contribute to and enhance our design system, maintaining consistency across products.

Collaboration & Handoff

Work closely with product managers to understand requirements, define problems, and prioritize work.

Collaborate with engineers during implementation, providing detailed specs, assets, and documentation.

Present design work and rationales to stakeholders, incorporating feedback effectively.

Continuous Improvement

Use data and user feedback to refine designs and iterate post-launch.

Stay current with UX, UI, and visual design best practices, tools, and trends.

Help improve internal design processes and workflows.

Skills and Requirements Experience

5+ years of professional experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, UI/Visual Designer, or similar role.

Demonstrated experience designing digital products (web and/or mobile), shown through a strong portfolio.

Experience working in cross-functional teams with product managers and engineers.

Experience with design systems at scale and component-based design.

Technical Skills & Tools

Expert-level proficiency in Figma (components, variants, auto layout, prototyping, design systems).

Familiarity with common design handoff workflows (e.g., Figma Inspect, annotations).

Strong understanding of UX fundamentals: user research methods, information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles.

Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, color theory, and brand application.

Ability to create interactive prototypes to communicate flows and interactions.

Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, React concepts) to facilitate better collaboration with engineering.

Design & UX Skills

Strong understanding of UX fundamentals: user research methods, information architecture, interaction design, and usability principles.

Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, color theory, and brand application.

Ability to create interactive prototypes to communicate flows and interactions.

Basic understanding of front-end technologies (HTML/CSS, React concepts) to facilitate better collaboration with engineering.

Strong communication skills: able to explain design decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Comfortable giving and receiving feedback and participating in design critiques.
