
Mechanical Superintendent

We are helping a client identify multiple Mechanical Superintendents for projects across the US.
Focus:

Role Overview The Mechanical Superintendent directs all field operations to ensure safe, timely, and profitable project completion. You will oversee subcontractors and craft labor, managing everything from high-spec piping and equipment setting to structural steel and hydrostatic testing.
Core Responsibilities
Field Supervision:
Direct daily construction activities, including piping (SS/Carbon/Alloy), rigging, welding, insulation, and coatings.
Safety & Quality:
Lead site safety (PTAs/TSOs) and coordinate with QA/QC to verify weld qualifications and code compliance.
Project Controls:
Manage 3-week look-aheads, track installed quantities/hours, and maintain daily progress reports/photos.
Technical Oversight:
Read/interpret P&IDs and isometrics; witness equipment alignment and sign off on system testing.
Contract Management:
Ensure subcontractor compliance, manage RFI responses, and oversee field change orders.
Material Logistics:
Verify material deliveries meet specs and ensure proper storage and preventative maintenance.
Requirements
Experience:
heavy industrial experience required, 7-10+ construction management experience or craft supervision experience on Mechanical projects
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to read complex structural/mechanical drawings.
Leadership:
Strong communication skills and a proven track record in safety leadership.
Logistics:
Must meet company driving requirements
