
Trade Strategy & Promotion Manager

Relate Search has partnered with a category-leading consumer products organization to identify a Trade Strategy & Pricing Leader to drive national pricing, trade promotion, and customer investment strategy for a flagship brand portfolio. This highly visible role sits at the center of commercial strategy, leveraging data, analytics, and cross‑functional collaboration to maximize revenue, profitability, and return on trade spend. You will play a critical role in transforming trade capabilities, influencing senior stakeholders, and building best‑in‑class processes that elevate organizational performance. Responsibilities
Lead national pricing and trade promotion strategy, translating brand and channel objectives into actionable, high‑impact commercial plans
Own the end‑to‑end trade planning cycle, including budget allocation, trade rate setting, governance, and execution frameworks
Partner cross‑functionally with Sales, Marketing, Category Management, and Finance to develop customer‑level strategies that drive growth and profitability
Build and deploy trade management systems, tools, and processes to enhance decision‑making, efficiency, and organizational capability
Leverage advanced analytics and insights to evaluate performance, optimize trade spend, and deliver clear recommendations to senior leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; 8+ years of experience in consumer packaged goods across Pricing, Revenue Growth Management, Trade, Sales, or Marketing (Master’s preferred)
Proven expertise in trade spend management across key channels (grocery, mass, club, and/or e-commerce)
Strong analytical skill set, including experience with tools and methodologies such as ROI modelling, simulation analysis, and financial evaluation
Experience leveraging syndicated data sources (e.g., Nielsen, IRI/Circana) to drive insights and recommendations
Demonstrated ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and lead complex initiatives in a fast‑paced environment
