What You’ll Do
Lead day-to-day field operations on heavy highway and DOT projects from mobilization through completion
Direct grading and earthwork activities, including mass excavation, embankment, and roadway subgrade operations
Coordinate crews, equipment, and daily work plans to maintain production, safety, and schedule
Work closely with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and DOT representatives to drive field execution
Monitor site conditions, sequencing, and productivity to support on-time project delivery
Ensure compliance with DOT specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards
Provide leadership and direction to foremen and field crews
What We’re Looking For
10+ years of experience as a Superintendent or Senior Field Leader on heavy highway or DOT projects
Proven experience leading heavy highway projects valued at $25M+
Strong background in grading and earthwork operations; underground utility work is supported separately
Required DOT experience with one or more of the following: GDOT, SCDOT, NCDOT, VDOT, TxDOT, TDOT, or FDOT (Northern Florida)
Ability to manage large crews, heavy equipment fleets, and complex site logistics
Strong field leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Commitment to safety, quality, and consistent execution
