
Communications Specialist Consultant

Position Summary
The communications specialist consultant provides high-level writing and content development support across one or more platforms. This temporary role is responsible for producing clear, compelling, audience-focused communications that support organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, edit and refine high-quality written content for multiple channels, including but not limited to:
Websites and other digital platforms
Print publications and marketing collateral
Social media posts and campaigns
Advertising and promotional materials
Internal communications (e.g., announcements, newsletters, executive messaging)
External communications (e.g., press materials, stakeholder communications)
Adapt tone, voice and messaging to align with brand guidelines and target audiences.
Collaborate with colleagues, internal stakeholders, leadership and subject matter experts to gather information and translate complex ideas into clear, engaging content.
Ensure accuracy, consistency and adherence to editorial standards across all communications.
Meet deadlines and manage multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Experience working in a consulting or temporary communications role.
Familiarity with content management systems, digital marketing and/or social media management tools.
Experience supporting executive-level and/or organization-wide communications.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, public relations, marketing or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Demonstrated experience producing high-level written content for diverse platforms and audiences.
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to quickly understand complex topics and communicate about them clearly and effectively.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
