The Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a passionate and dedicated High School Band Director to lead and grow a comprehensive band program. Contract Salary
$50,000+ (BA, 04, 1.0 FTE, 20252026 Salary Schedule) Qualifications
Must hold or be able to obtain Iowa teaching certification with appropriate music endorsement Demonstrated knowledge of instrumental music instruction and band program development Ability to direct multiple ensembles and support a comprehensive music program Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States Knowledge, Skills, And Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging instruction in high school band courses Direct concert band, marching band, and other instrumental ensembles as assigned Organize and lead performances, competitions, and community events Foster a positive and inclusive classroom and rehearsal environment Collaborate with music staff across the district to ensure program alignment and growth Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff Support student development both musically and personally Maintain inventory, equipment, and music library Application Procedure
