
Territory Manager, Utilities - Midwest Power Markets

We are seeking a Territory Manager to drive sales growth across Wisconsin and Michigan's Upper Peninsula. This role owns key customer relationships, manages the full sales cycle, and supports a broad base of utility, distributor, and consultant accounts. The Territory Manager will promote a technical product portfolio, identify customer needs, and deliver solutions that support long‑term growth.

This role owns key customer relationships, manages the full sales cycle, and supports a broad base of utility, distributor, and consultant accounts. The Territory Manager will promote a technical product portfolio, identify customer needs, and deliver solutions that support long‑term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute territory sales plans, including customer visits, key account strategies, and order forecasts. Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders up to the Director level. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive outreach and lead generation. Serve as the primary customer contact for inquiries, issues, and technical support requests. Conduct regular meetings, presentations, and product demonstrations. Use consultative selling techniques to progress opportunities, negotiate terms, and close deals. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences. Work with internal technical teams to tailor solutions to customer needs. Partner with marketing, sales operations, and channel management to support territory initiatives. Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and pipeline activity in CRM systems. Participate in factory tours and product acceptance activities as required. Provide regular performance updates, forecasts, and market insights to leadership. Keep current on new technologies and industry trends. Support occasional after‑hours customer engagement as part of relationship building. Travel up to 80% for customer visits, events, and business support.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in the electric power industry and/or selling to utility customers. Strong understanding of electrical power systems and medium‑voltage distribution. Proven track record of generating new business and achieving sales targets. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Strong business acumen, analytical abilities, and problem‑solving skills. Experience negotiating and closing complex, high‑value deals. Strong organizational and project‑management capabilities. Proficiency with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
