Overview

Sales Engineer – Actuation & Control Valves We are seeking a motivated and technically proficient Sales Engineer specializing in Actuation and Control Valves to join our team. This remote role focuses on driving sales growth across the West Coast region, providing expert technical support, and developing strong customer relationships within key industries such as Oil & Gas, Power, Water Treatment, and Chemicals. The successful candidate will serve as a vital link between our innovative product solutions and our clients’ needs, ensuring tailored, effective results that support both regional business objectives and customer success.

Responsibilities

Act as the technical expert in control valves, actuation systems, and related markets to support sales initiatives and customer inquiries.

Collaborate with inside sales, business development, and engineering teams to develop and execute regional sales strategies.

Participate in sales calls with key accounts and regional representatives to promote actuation and control valves.

Build and nurture long-lasting relationships with customers, understanding their business requirements and recommending appropriate solutions.

Deliver technical training sessions and seminars for sales teams and channel partners to enhance product knowledge.

Support field troubleshooting efforts by providing technical guidance and resolving product or application issues onsite or remotely.

Collect and relay market insights, industry trends, and competitor intelligence to inform product development and sales tactics.

Review and validate quotations, ensuring accurate product selection, pricing, and timely delivery.

Support and coordinate from quotation preparation through order closure, ensuring smooth communication internally and externally.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.

2 to 5 years’ experience in engineering, technical sales, or industrial sales, with a focus on valves, flow control, pumps, or instrumentation.

Strong knowledge of actuation systems and control valves; familiarity with butterfly, ball, and knife gate valves is preferred.

Proven ability to identify customer needs and translate them into effective product solutions.

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills suited for customer presentations and relationship management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems such as Dynamics 365.

Willingness to travel up to 50% within the West Coast region and occasionally beyond.

Valid driver’s license and ability to meet company vehicle policies.

Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in a remote environment.
