This is a demanding position in which you will work with our team to understand our clients' questions and then lead the process to discover the answers.

Ergo seeks a mid-level investigative analyst of the very highest caliber to join its growing Due Diligence and Investigations Practice in our New York City office.

The position is open to mid-level analysts who are interested in helping to develop this practice area and help lead a team of analysts.

Salary and title will vary depending on the candidate's experience and background.

Prior work experience conducting investigations and/or due diligence research is required.

Experience with client engagement and business development for due diligence research and investigations are preferred, but not required.

Applicants must have full-time work availability and authorization in New York City.

This is a great opportunity to work on compelling cases—both legal and corporate—and build a remarkable skill set performing a range of critical roles and responsibilities, including:

Performing complex investigations as part of litigation support, due diligence, and other investigative matters

Conducting due diligence investigations on companies and individuals through the use of primary and secondary sources

Researching, writing, and delivering on-time reports of varying complexity; ensuring that deliverables are accurate, complete and meet/exceed the client's needs

Interfacing with major clients on a regular basis by handling scope of work questions, responding to follow-up inquiries, and generally understanding the client's needs

Working closely with Ergo's research and executive teams

Qualifications Ideal candidates will have completed an undergraduate or graduate degree with an emphasis on business, law, and/or international affairs. Previous work experience (3-5 years) in consulting, risk analysis, litigation support, due diligence, investigative journalism, or other investigative work is preferred.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate a genuine interest in investigative research and human source engagement. Self-starters with demonstrated passion and drive are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates must have:

Absolute integrity

Superior communication and oral/written presentation skills

A desire to work hard in a rewarding atmosphere

A strong academic record

A personal and work history that shows honesty, discipline, initiative, creativity and a very strong intellect

A proven capacity to research, write and present complex material

The ability to work well with a team

Experience with human source interviews strongly preferred

Solid facility with Microsoft Office and G-Suite (familiarity with Adobe Design Suite is a plus)

Compensation and Benefits Base salary is determined by experience and education, and is set according to standard internal pay bands. For this role, the salary range is $65,000 - $95,000. In addition to base salary, Ergo offers a competitive annual bonus, excellent healthcare coverage, and variable 401k matching.
