Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work onsite with our client in Fremont, CA.
Here's what you'd do:
Develops and supports additive manufacturing ('AM') processes and technology, including, but not limited to, 3D printing, rapid prototyping (RP), direct digital manufacturing (DDM), layered manufacturing and additive fabrications.
Determines material-process-design interdependencies provides AM design optimization input, researches and facilitates AM material and process discussions and requirements, interfaces with product line.
Applies digital design, CAD, solid modeling software and computer aided engineering methods.
Interprets engineering drawings/specifications and manufacturing processes; problem solves material, process and parts issues such as defect structure and porosity issues.
Develops test methods and procedures, performs inspection and failure analysis.
May develop qualitative tools and software to optimize and increase reliability of existing equipment for AM.
May research new AM technologies, create AM work instructions or assist in the development of AM machinists/technicians, training on new product processes and methods.

Minimum 3 years of experience in CAD, solid modeling, and computer-aided engineering tools.
Preferred skills:
Mechanical design concepts / development
Proficiency in NX CAD, large assembly management
Cable routing in CAD
