Director of Emergency Services (7462-2177)
The Director of Emergency Services is accountable for the overall management and operations of the Emergency Department.
Responsibilities include:
Managing the fiscal and human resources of the unit and formulating goals and objectives.
Following policies and procedures to maintain standards, identify and prevent problems.
Maintaining active participation in the unit to ensure objectives, standards, and practices are achieved.
Achieving and maintaining patient satisfaction goals by evaluating the quality of care continuously through direct observation and feedback from patients, staff, and physicians.
Meeting and maintaining quality goals, ensuring compliance with policies, state and federal laws, regulations, and Joint Commission standards.
Promoting a positive work environment and establishing interpersonal relationships with physicians, department leaders, and staff.
Demonstrating independent problem‑solving and decision‑making skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and knowledge of quality improvement principles and procedures, The Joint Commission (TJC) standards, and State/Federal regulations.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Valid NC RN license.
Minimum five years management experience in an Emergency Department (ED) director role.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
