Director of Safety
to lead, develop, and scale safety operations across large, complex construction projects. This is a highly visible leadership role responsible for driving a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance across multiple active projects, and partnering closely with operations leadership to deliver world class safety performance in high risk, fast paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and oversight of safety operations across multiple active construction projects, including large scale mission critical and data center builds
Lead, mentor, and develop regional and project level safety teams
Drive a culture of safety excellence across all levels of the organization, from executive leadership to field personnel
Establish, implement, and continuously improve safety programs, policies, and procedures aligned with company and regulatory standards
Partner with project executives, project managers, and field leadership to ensure safety is fully integrated into project planning and execution
Conduct regular site audits, risk assessments, and safety performance reviews to proactively identify and mitigate hazards
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Develop and track key safety metrics, reporting on performance trends and driving continuous improvement initiatives
Support business development efforts by reinforcing the company’s commitment to safety in client interactions and pursuits
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in construction safety, with a strong background in electrical contracting or mission critical environments
Proven experience leading safety programs across large scale, multi site construction projects
Demonstrated ability to build and lead high performing safety teams
Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, electrical safety standards, and construction best practices
Experience in data center, mission critical, industrial, or large commercial construction environments preferred
Ability to influence and partner with senior leadership, project teams, and field personnel
Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills
