Civil Intern or Civil PE
System One is partnering with an architectural firm seeking a Civil Intern or Civil PE Engineer in the Kansas City, Missouri area.
Responsibilities
Perform advanced design and technical modeling of site construction documents using AutoCAD Civil 3D, including creating dynamic surfaces, pipe networks, and complex grading plans
Prepare comprehensive hydrology and hydraulics (H&H) reports for stormwater management
Design utility infrastructure ensuring municipal compliance
Coordinate with agency reviewers and respond to technical "redlines" during the permitting process
Support project management tasks such as tracking budgets, coordinating with subconsultants, and reviewing shop drawings to maintain design integrity during construction
Assist in construction administration and support project delivery efforts
Requirements
1 to 5 years of relevant experience in civil engineering design and modeling
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for generating dynamic surfaces, pipe networks, and grading plans
Experience in hydrology and hydraulics reports for stormwater management
Knowledge of utility infrastructure design and municipal regulatory compliance
Strong coordination skills for permitting processes involving agency reviewers
Ability to support project management activities, including budget tracking and review of construction shop drawings
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
EPA or PE licensure is a plus but not required
