Gryphon Oakwood are representing a rapidly growing, nationally recognized mechanical construction firm to identify a
Project Director
to join its Project Management leadership team in Missouri. Our client is a full-service mechanical contractor specializing in
fabrication, installation, modification, and ongoing service of complex mechanical systems , including: Process piping Power piping Boiler making HVAC systems The
Project Director
will provide strategic and operational leadership for large-scale mechanical construction projects. This individual will oversee project teams, ensure financial performance, maintain strong client relationships, and drive project execution from preconstruction through completion. Key Responsibilities
Lead and oversee complex mechanical construction projects involving
HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical piping systems
from project initiation through completion. Provide leadership and direction to project managers, engineers, and field teams to ensure project objectives are achieved. Review construction documents and communicate critical information to project teams. Monitor project financial performance and ensure projects meet or exceed
budget and profitability targets . Track and report key performance indicators including
schedule adherence, productivity, and cost performance . Provide regular project performance updates to executive leadership. Develop and maintain strong relationships with
owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and vendors . Represent the company in client meetings and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle. Work closely with the
Design and Engineering teams
to develop effective execution strategies and project plans. Lead internal and external project coordination meetings to align stakeholders and maintain project momentum. Ensure strict compliance with
site safety protocols and quality standards . Promote a culture of safety and accountability across all project teams. Experience
8+ years
of experience in one of the following roles: Senior Mechanical Project Manager Mechanical Project Director Similar leadership role within mechanical construction Demonstrated experience managing
large-scale mechanical construction projects . Strong understanding of: Mechanical piping systems, HVAC systems, Industrial mechanical construction Experience managing projects with
