
Private Equity Associate

A leading multi-billion dollar middle‑market private equity firm focused in the industrials sector is seeking a Private Equity Associate to join their investment team. The Associate will be based in Chicago and will assist on transactions and take a hands‑on approach to maximizing the growth of portfolio companies through various investment strategies. This is a role with a prominent firm that offers valuable deal experience, upward mobility and strong leadership.
Private Equity Associate Responsibilities
Structure and negotiate the acquisition and disposition of various types of investments
Work directly alongside executive leadership of acquired firms to drive the professionalization and profitability of their organizations
Participate in committee discussions around potential investments and strategic initiatives
Due diligence, valuation analysis, and the negotiating of contracts and other agreements
Required Experience
2-3 years of experience in investment banking
Strong financial modeling skills with demonstrated experience building and operating LBO models
Prior exposure to transactions in industrials is a strong plus
Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or a related field
