The Director of the Sealy Institute for Vaccine Sciences ("SIVS") will provide strategic and operational leadership for a multidisciplinary research institute dedicated to advancing vaccine discovery, preclinical and clinical development, public policy and education. The incumbent will oversee scientific programs, foster cross‑campus and external collaborations, secure extramural funding, and guide the institute’s growth as an internationally recognized center for vaccine innovation.

Education & Experience
PhD, MD or equivalent degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
10+ years of experience in vaccine research and/or preclinical/clinical development.
Direct experience in vaccine‑related research with sustained extramural funding.
Demonstrated leadership experience within academia, research institutes, or major scientific organizations.
Strong publication record in high‑impact peer‑reviewed journals.
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex research programs.
Eligibility for academic appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor.
Strongly preferred experience leading large collaborative grants, consortia, or translational research initiatives.
Compensation A competitive salary based upon educational background and experience. Additional benefits include a relocation allowance, a superior family benefits program, and a state retirement program.
