Big Blue Marble Academy is seeking a compassionate, driven, and detail-oriented candidate for our
School Director in Training (DIT)
program. This role is designed for emerging leaders who are passionate about early childhood education and are eager to grow into a School Director position.
The ideal candidate is a strong communicator, team-oriented, and committed to supporting our mission of delivering a high-quality, globally focused education for children of all ages. This role provides hands‑on training and mentorship to build the skills needed to successfully lead a childcare center.

As a Director in Training, You Will
Participate in a structured training program to develop leadership and operational skills required to run a successful early childhood center
Support the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of high-quality teachers and staff
Learn and help implement our global education curriculum, branding, and age‑appropriate learning practices
Ensure compliance with state licensing regulations and company policies, including health and safety standards
Assist in building enrollment through community outreach, tours, and marketing initiatives
Develop strong relationships with families, staff, and leadership to deliver excellent customer service
Maintain consistent communication with parents regarding student progress and center activities
Gain experience with administrative responsibilities, including budgeting, scheduling, and reporting
Support efforts to maximize enrollment while maintaining required teacher‑to‑student ratios
Utilize various software systems for operations, reporting, and communication
Complete all required training, licensing, and safety certifications
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field preferred, or other related credential
Three to five years of proven management work experience in a licensed childcare facility
Candidate must also pass all background checks and meet state requirements
CPR and First Aid Certified
Proficient in Microsoft Office and / or G Suite
Experience working with financial and administrative processes and systems
Excellent knowledge of early childhood child development
Patience, flexibility and love for children
