Position Summary The Senior Director of Non-Residential Services provides strategic leadership and executive oversight for The Family Place's comprehensive Non-Residential Services portfolio, directing programs that serve thousands of survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault annually.
As Senior Director, you will lead Program Directors overseeing the Central Dallas Counseling Center, Southern Dallas Community Center, Domestic Violence High Risk Team, Batterer's Services (BIPP and FLP), and a part-time employee in Legal Services, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, evidence‑based therapeutic and supportive services across Dallas County.
This leadership role requires a visionary leader who can balance strategic program development with operational excellence, cultivate high‑performing clinical and program teams, manage complex funding requirements, drive community collaboration, and champion evidence‑based practices that create measurable impact for survivors. You will serve as the strategic architect of non‑residential services, ensuring every program meets rigorous quality standards, achieves outcomes that transform lives, and positions The Family Place as the leading domestic violence service provider in North Texas.
Key Responsibilities Leadership & Program Oversight
Provide direct supervision to Program Directors leading Southern Dallas Community Center, Central Dallas Counseling Center, Restorative Services, Domestic Violence High Risk Team, and a part‑time employee in Legal Services.
Direct strategic oversight for the entire Non‑Residential Services Department portfolio, including counseling centers, high‑risk intervention, batterer services, and legal services.
Ensure alignment of all non‑residential programs with organizational mission, strategic priorities, and evidence‑based best practices.
Drive program innovation and development to meet evolving community needs and expand service impact.
Operational Management & Staff Development
Manage daily operations across all non‑residential programs, ensuring efficient, high‑quality service delivery.
Supervise director‑level staff through regular individual and team supervision, coaching, and performance management.
Oversee interviewing, hiring, and evaluation of Program Directors and provide strategic guidance on hiring across all non‑residential teams.
Address staffing concerns, including scheduling, productivity, customer service standards, and workload management.
Provide administrative support, supervision, training, and clinical consultation to strengthen leadership capacity and clinical skills across director‑level staff.
Cultivate a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous learning within the Non‑Residential Services Department.
Quality Assurance & Performance Management
Develop, implement, and maintain policies and procedures, ensuring quality service delivery and staff accountability across all programs.
Ensure Program Directors are comprehensively trained on all procedural requirements, compliance standards, and best practices.
Collaborate with the Director of Intake to establish standards for intake and assessment practices for non‑residential clients.
Monitor program utilization rates to ensure alignment with agency standards and optimal service delivery.
Review client satisfaction surveys and feedback to maintain satisfaction rates above 90%, addressing concerns proactively.
Conduct ongoing assessment and evaluation of non‑residential programs using outcome data to drive program and staff improvements.
Ensure accurate, timely documentation, client files, and statistical reporting in compliance with agency policies and funder requirements.
Grant Management & Fiscal Accountability
Partner with Program Directors to ensure the achievement of all grant objectives and contractual deliverables.
Prepare and manage approved program budgets for all non‑residential services.
Review needs for group and individual contractors, ensuring contracts, grant requirements, and budgets are effectively managed and maintained.
Provide strategic oversight of funding streams and fiscal sustainability for non‑residential programs.
Evidence‑Based Practice & Program Innovation
Champion the implementation of evidence‑based practices across all non‑residential services.
Research and evaluate emerging programming trends, innovative interventions, and best practices from peer organizations.
Monitor service delivery trends and make data‑informed decisions regarding program modifications and new service development.
Lead strategic planning initiatives to enhance service quality, expand access, and improve survivor outcomes.
Community Collaboration & Partnership Development
Identify and implement strategies to develop new program opportunities and expand community reach.
Collaborate closely with community partnership programs to coordinate comprehensive, trauma‑informed services for clients.
Work with Program Directors and the Community Outreach and Education Department to develop and implement marketing strategies that increase counseling center visibility within Dallas communities.
Engage in relevant community meetings, coalitions, and collaborative initiatives to strengthen The Family Place's role as a leading DV service provider.
Partner with the Development Department to create marketing collateral and messaging that accurately represents non‑residential services.
Crisis Leadership & Client Support
Provide executive‑level crisis support and consultation for complex, high‑risk client situations as needed.
Ensure crisis protocols are current, effective, and consistently implemented across all non‑residential programs.
Serve as an escalation point for Program Directors managing critical incidents or safety concerns.
Professional Development & Strategic Growth
Collaborate with Human Resources to design and implement training programs that meet the evolving needs of non‑residential staff.
Participate in weekly, monthly, and annual employee meetings and agency‑wide training.
Maintain current professional knowledge of crisis intervention, trauma therapy, case management, domestic violence advocacy, and batterer intervention.
Stay informed on community resources, funding opportunities, and policy developments affecting domestic violence services.
Represent The Family Place in professional networks, coalitions, and industry leadership forums.
