Job Title Senior Executive – Fund Operations (Non-Retail)
Key Responsibilities
Fund Management & Treasury Operations
Settlement Oversight: Execute and monitor daily fund pay-in and pay-out processes for institutional and HNI clients via Banking/Clearing Corporation channels.
Margin Management: Ensure adequate margin maintenance (Cash/Collateral) as per Exchange requirements; manage Margin Trading Facility (MTF) funding and interest calculations.
Corporate Actions: Coordinate the processing of dividends, interest payments, and redemptions for non-retail portfolios.
Nodal Account Management: Monitor and reconcile the "Client Unpaid Securities Account" (CUSA) and Nodal bank accounts to prevent any commingling of funds.
Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
SEBI/Exchange Reporting: Timely submission of weekly/monthly reports including Enhanced Supervision data, Client Fund/Security balances, and Scrip-wise pledges.
KYC & Onboarding: Perform high-level due diligence for non-retail entities (Corporates, Trusts, LLPs), ensuring documentation complies with PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) norms.
Audit Facilitation: Act as the primary point of contact for Internal, Statutory, and System Audits related to fund movements and operational workflows.
Upstream/Downstream Compliance: Ensure all fund transfers occur strictly from/to "Pre-verified" mapped bank accounts as per the latest SEBI circulars.
Reconciliation & Reporting
Bank & Ledger Recon: Perform daily 3-way reconciliation between Bank statements, Back-office Ledgers, and Exchange pay-in/pay-out files.
Discrepancy Resolution: Identify and resolve any breaks in fund settlements or "failed" trades within the stipulated T+1/T+2 timelines.
MIS Preparation: Generate daily dashboards for Senior Management detailing AUM movement, funding costs, and liquidity positions.
Technical & Process Skills
Back-Office Software: Proficiency in industry-standard platforms (e.g., TrackWizz, Omnesys, or internal JBL proprietary systems like Smart RMS).
Regulatory Knowledge: Strong grip on SEBI (Stockbrokers) Regulations and the Enhanced Supervision Framework.
Excel Mastery: Ability to handle large data sets using VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Macros for automated reconciliation.
Candidate Profile
Education: Graduate/Post-Graduate in Finance, Commerce, or Accounting (CA-Inter/MBA Finance preferred).
Experience: 3–5 years of core experience in Fund Operations or Settlement within a Stock Broking firm or AMC.
Certifications: Mandatory NISM Series VI (Depository Operations) and NISM Series VIII (Equity Derivatives).
Soft Skills: High attention to detail, ability to work under strict market-closing deadlines, and strong professional communication for client-facing queries.
