Halff has a current opening for a Survey Crew Member in our Dallas, TX location. This entry-level position requires working outdoors assisting a Land Survey crew. Survey experience is desirable, but not required. The typical work week is Monday through Friday, starting at 6:30am. This position involves working overtime and traveling for up to two weeks at a time. What You Will Do
Operate Robotic, conventional, and GPS survey equipment to measure topographic features and boundary evidence accurately and efficiently in support of land development, route, utility, and other land surveying projects.
Assist the Party Chief in conducting land development, boundary, design, topographic, and ALTA surveys.
Ensure accuracy and precision in all surveying activities.
Follow instructions that may be written or delivered verbally.
Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
Be dependable and responsible regarding punctuality and attendance.
What You Will Need
2+ years of experience as an Instrument operator performing land development, boundary, design, topographic, and ALTA surveys is preferred, but not required.
Ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, including heat and cold.
Must have a valid Driver's license.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Possess a meticulous attention to detail and strong ability to promote accuracy. There is very minimal room for error in this position.
Ability and willingness to follow instructions that may be written, delivered verbally, or conveyed from various methods of communication.
Must be flexible, dependable, responsible and disciplined to be a positive representative for Halff and remain punctual on a consistent basis.
Overtime and weekend work may be needed to meet project deadlines.
Ability to pass a drug and background screen.
Travel general is up to 50%.
