This position directs the operations and strategic planning of human resources, customer service, and financial management for all of the facilities maintenance functions and personnel within the Facilities Management department, all in support of the goals and mission of the organization. The incumbent oversees all aspects of facilities maintenance, manpower and resource management, routine and emergent capital investment and improvements, and ensures quality and continuity of service in all aspects. In addition, the position works closely with executive and department-level leadership to understand and facilitate the current and future needs of individual departments and the organization as a whole. This position has no responsibility for providing care to patients.

Responsible for patient satisfaction scores within assigned area(s).

Responsible for upholding PROMISE standards of direct reports and team members.

Quality

Responsible to achieve quality goals for assigned area(s).

Manages and promotes continuous process improvements in assigned area(s).

Performance Management

Responsible to provide staff feedback on performance, including on-time appraisals and coaching.

Responsible to deal with conflicts in a proactive manner and to reach resolution in a timely manner.

Building Relationships

Forms positive relationships with staff, peers, and senior leadership to support the mission, vision, values, and performance standards of the organization.

Actively engages staff with updates and news as well as involving staff in decisions and work teams. Provides feedback and recognition when appropriate.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

Ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined above.

Demonstrated leadership, human relations, and effective communication skills.

Ability to determine the appropriate staff mixes to support patient and customer needs.

Knowledge of hospital business operations and demonstrated strategic planning skills.

Knowledge of budgeting practices, reporting analysis, and forecasting.

Qualifications Qualifications Required

Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, a related area, or the equivalency.

Six (6) years of progressively more responsible leadership experience.

Depending upon department of hire, a valid, State of Utah Driver's License may be required.

Preferred

Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, or a related area.

Experience in Healthcare Maintenance and Construction.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands Employee must be able to meet the following requirements with or without an accommodation.

This position involves intermediate working conditions in a healthcare setting that may exert up to 50 pounds and may require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects and may move equipment or supplies.
