Director, Security (FSO) - Cleared Programs Location: Huntsville, AL

Work Environment: On‑Site

Role Summary: Exiger is seeking a Director, Security (FSO) to lead and scale the security function for a highly strategic, federally aligned program. Based in Huntsville, Alabama, this individual will serve as the senior security authority responsible for establishing, governing, and operating a multi‑site classified security program, including a primary SCIF environment in Huntsville and a secondary SCIF presence in Northern Virginia. This role blends hands‑on execution with program‑level leadership, ensuring compliance with NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and customer directives while enabling rapid mission execution in a fast‑paced, high‑stakes environment.

What You’ll Do:

Serve as the senior leader responsible for all security and industrial security matters across the program

Lead compliance with NISPOM, DCSA requirements, ICDs, and contract‑specific security obligations

Establish and operate a multi‑site security model, including oversight of SCIF environments in Huntsville and governance of a secondary SCIF location in Northern Virginia

Deputize and manage a cleared team member to support day‑to‑day operations at the Northern Virginia site

Lead preparation for and response to DCSA inspections, audits, and security reviews, ensuring continuous audit readiness

Own personnel security processes including clearance sponsorship, onboarding, indoctrination, debriefing, and continuous evaluation

Ensure proper execution of DD254 requirements, visit authorizations, access controls, and classified material handling procedures

Serve as the senior advisor on insider threat program execution and reporting

Partner with program leadership, government stakeholders, and security officials to enable compliant, efficient mission delivery

Provide security input into facility stand‑up, program onboarding, and operational planning efforts

Develop and maintain security policies, SOPs, training programs, and governance structures

Drive consistency, efficiency, and continuous improvement across security processes and workflows

What You Need:

Demonstrated experience leading industrial security or cleared security programs within federal, defense, or intelligence environments

Deep knowledge of NISPOM, DCSA requirements, and classified information handling procedures

Experience managing SCIF environments and multi‑site security operations

Strong understanding of personnel security systems and processes (e.g., DISS, NBIS)

Proven experience leading DCSA audits, inspections, and compliance reviews

Ability to operate as both a strategic leader and hands‑on operator in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment

Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior government stakeholders and internal leadership

Active TS/SCI clearance required; TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph strongly preferred

Professional Experience Required:

5+ years of experience in industrial security, facility security, or related roles

Experience working within DoD, Intelligence Community, or federal contractor environments

Prior experience supporting classified programs and secure facilities is strongly preferred

Experience establishing or scaling security operations for new facilities is a plus

Active TS/SCI clearance required

Certifications (Preferred):

FSO Certification (CDSE or equivalent)

Insider Threat Program training

Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) or equivalent
