Responsible for managing assigned tax engagements, completing complex tax and accounting work, and supporting team development under the supervision of Managers and Partners. Serves as a key contributor to client service, project execution, and firm initiatives.
Responsibilities
Prepare federal and state tax returns, extensions, and related workpapers for individuals and various entity types.
Assist with financial statements, accounting entries, reconciliations, and maintenance of client records.
Conduct tax research and prepare supporting documentation.
Manage routine client communications regarding tax matters, deliverables, and deadlines.
Support responses to IRS and state agency inquiries.
Manage multiple assignments to meet deadlines, budget expectations, and quality standards.
Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with firm standards.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and engagement outcomes.
Provide guidance and support to interns and junior staff.
Collaborate effectively with team members and contribute to a positive work environment.
Support firm initiatives related to growth, recruiting, or community involvement.
Demonstrate inclusive, respectful, and professional behavior in all interactions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.
3+ years of tax experience in public accounting.
CPA license or CPA eligibility required.
Experience preparing individual tax returns; CS Suite or UltraTax preferred.
Exposure to tax research tools such as RIA preferred.
Experience with gift, estate, trust, partnership, or corporate tax returns a plus.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team.
