A well-established General Contractor operating throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex is seeking an experienced
Senior Superintendent
with a strong background in
K-12 construction projects . This role is responsible for leading field operations from project start through completion while ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and stakeholder satisfaction. The ideal candidate has experience working in both occupied and non-occupied school environments and understands the unique requirements of educational facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Lead all on-site construction activities for K-12 projects
Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
Maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are met
Enforce safety protocols and maintain a strong safety culture on-site
Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for owners, architects, and inspectors
Oversee quality control and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and local codes
Manage site logistics, phasing plans, and inspections
Experience Needed
10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on commercial construction projects
Demonstrated experience delivering K-12 school construction projects, including new construction, renovations, and additions
Experience working on occupied campuses with strict safety and phasing requirements
Proven ability to manage complex schedules and multiple subcontractors
Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and sequencing
Qualifications Needed
High school diploma or GED required; degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain)
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Proficiency with construction scheduling software and field technology
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites throughout DFW
