They are a leading commercial general contractor specializing in public works and healthcare construction projects across Arizona. With a strong reputation for quality, safety, and client satisfaction, they deliver complex projects that support communities and advance healthcare infrastructure.
They are growing and seeking an experienced Healthcare Superintendent to join our Phoenix team.
Position Overview The Healthcare Superintendent will provide on-site leadership for ground-up and renovation projects within active or new healthcare environments, including hospitals, clinics, labs, and related public‑sector facilities. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on leader with deep field expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to manage complex healthcare construction projects from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations, subcontractors, and jobsite activities to ensure project milestones are met.
Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant jobsite aligned with OSHA, infection control (ICRA), and company safety standards.
Coordinate closely with project managers, owners, design teams, and inspectors.
Develop and manage short‑interval schedules and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.
Lead subcontractor meetings, monitor productivity, and resolve field issues in real time.
Ensure quality standards and healthcare facility protocols are consistently followed.
Anticipate challenges, mitigate risk, and maintain strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Document daily reports, progress photos, inspections, and relevant field records.
Qualifications
4+ years of superintendent experience in commercial construction.
Strong background in healthcare projects (OSHPD/AHCA/ICRA familiarity preferred).
Proven experience with public works or government‑funded projects.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, MEP systems, and infection control processes.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
Proficiency with scheduling software, construction management platforms, and digital documentation tools.
Ability to work collaboratively and professionally with owners, architects, subcontractors, and internal teams.
OSHA 30 certification preferred.
