What you’ll need to succeed as a Lead, Instructional Designer at XPO
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
4 years of experience in instructional design and development within a corporate or enterprise learning environment.
Demonstrated experience leading complex learning programs from intake through launch.
Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise) and collaboration platforms.
Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design best practices.
Preferred qualifications:
7+ years of experience in instructional design and development within a corporate or enterprise learning environment.
Experience designing learning for frontline, operational, or large-scale employee populations.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate business needs into effective learning solutions.

What you’ll do on a typical day
Lead end‑to‑end instructional design and content development for complex training solutions across virtual, in‑person, and self‑paced modalities
Utilize authoring tools, including Articulate Rise, Storyline, Camtasia, etc. To develop engaging and interactive learner‑centered training
Partner with business stakeholders and SMEs to translate needs into clear learning objectives and design direction
Provide daily direction, review, and feedback to an offshore instructional design/content development team
Ensure learning assets meet quality, consistency, accessibility, and adult learning standards
Balance multiple projects, timelines, and priorities in partnership ensuring on time delivery
Continuously improve learning solutions based on feedback, outcomes, and business needs, proactively enhancing training and elevating the bar of design standards
