
Commercial Superintendent

The Commercial Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This role requires a strong leader with excellent communication skills, a deep understanding of commercial construction, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily on-site construction operations and ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and schedules
Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
Ensure job site safety and compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies
Maintain detailed daily reports, logs, and project documentation
Conduct and lead site meetings, inspections, and walkthroughs
Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions
Communicate regularly with Project Managers, engineers, and clients
Enforce quality control standards and ensure all work is completed to specification
Manage project scheduling, material deliveries, and workforce planning
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
Strong knowledge of building systems, construction methods, and code requirements
Proven ability to manage multi-million dollar projects from start to finish
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications
Proficient with construction software, MS Office Suite, Procore, and scheduling software
OSHA 30 certification preferred
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction
Management or related field is a plus
Valid and clean driver’s license
