
Construction Estimator

This is a full-time on-site Estimator role located in Charleston, SC. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, analyzing project specifications, evaluating labor and material requirements, and collaborating with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate project bids. The role involves assessing project risks, preparing detailed bid proposals, and maintaining relationships with suppliers and subcontractors. Regular site visits, reviewing design drawings, and staying up-to-date on industry trends will also be integral aspects of this position.
Qualifications
Strong cost estimation skills, including experience with material takeoffs, labor calculations, and pricing structures
Proficiency in construction-related software, such as estimating tools and design programs
Understanding of construction processes, blueprints, specifications, and building codes
Effective communication and collaboration abilities for team interaction and client relations
Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze project risks
Prior experience in the construction industry, specifically in metal framing, drywall, or specialty ceilings, is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is beneficial
