
Electrical Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Position Overview Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial and industrial electrical construction projects in the Seattle area. This role is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining strict adherence to safety and union standards.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader with a deep understanding of large-scale electrical systems, union environments, and fast-paced project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations for commercial and industrial electrical projects
Supervise, mentor, and coordinate union electricians and subcontractors
Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to specification
Collaborate with Project Managers, General Contractors, and other trades
Interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents
Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and company safety programs
Conduct site inspections, quality control checks, and progress reporting
Coordinate material deliveries, manpower planning, and workflow sequencing
Resolve field issues proactively to avoid project delays
Lead safety meetings and enforce OSHA and company standards
Qualifications
4+ years of experience in electrical construction, with 3+ years in a supervisory role
Strong background in commercial and/or industrial electrical projects
Experience working in a union environment required
Proven ability to lead crews and manage multiple job sites or large-scale projects
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and construction practices
Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and schedules
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
OSHA 30 certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
Base salary up to $150,000 (depending on experience)
