POSITION SUMMARY
The Field Superintendent – Interiors is responsible for overseeing and managing all interior construction activities from initial layout and coordination through final punch list completion for large scale hospitality and residential projects, including hotels and condominiums. This role ensures that all interior scopes are executed in accordance with project plans, specifications, quality standards, and schedule requirements. The Superintendent coordinates subcontractors, manages daily field operations, enforces safety protocols, and works closely with project management to deliver high‑quality finishes on time and within budget. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate and sequence all interior construction activities among multiple trades, ensuring efficient workflow, proper trade stacking, and adherence to the overall project schedule from rough‑in through final finishes Enforce all company and regulatory safety policies on‑site, maintaining strict compliance with OSHA standards, conducting regular safety meetings, and ensuring proper housekeeping practices are consistently upheld throughout interior work areas Demonstrate a thorough understanding of construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and subcontractor scopes of work, and proactively identify discrepancies, constructability issues, and coordination conflicts Assist, as needed, with schedule and coordination of required inspections for interior scopes with local municipalities and private inspection agencies, ensuring all work meets code requirements and passes inspections without delay to the project timeline Serve as the primary field point of contact for ownership representatives and the design team on all interior‑related matters, including finishes, mockups, and detailing, while facilitating timely resolution of field conflicts and design clarifications Develop, maintain, and actively manage short‑term (minimum two‑week) look‑ahead schedules, coordinating subcontractor activities and driving accountability to ensure milestones and completion targets are achieved Prepare and maintain accurate daily reports, including manpower tracking, work progress, site conditions, and any issues impacting schedule, safety, or quality Establish, communicate, and enforce quality control standards for all interior work, ensuring that subcontractors meet project specifications, finish expectations, and industry best practices, and that deficiencies are promptly corrected Monitor material deliveries, storage, and installation to ensure alignment with the project schedule and to prevent damage, delays, or rework Collaborate closely with Project Managers and other field leadership to proactively address schedule impacts, cost considerations, and coordination challenges related to interior scopes. QUALIFICATIONS:
At least five (5) years of experience serving in a Field Superintendent or similar leadership role on hospitality and/or high‑rise residential (condominium) projects is required. Strong working knowledge of local building codes, permitting processes, and inspection requirements is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required; experience with construction management software is a plus. Ability to read, interpret, and coordinate from architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and technical schematics. Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors, prioritize tasks, and drive schedule performance in a fast‑paced construction environment. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to effectively interact with field teams, project management, clients, and design professionals.
