Performance Center Porter / Vehicle Support Associate

The Performance Center Porter assists with the day-to-day operations of vehicle processing by handling general detailing and maintaining the facility. Key duties include safely transporting vehicles within the facility, washing and vacuuming cars, and keeping work areas organized and tidy. Additional tasks involve sweeping, mopping, operating floor-cleaning machines, and managing waste, including trash and cardboard disposal. This is an entry-level position, and training is provided for tasks beyond the primary responsibilities. A clean driving record is required due to the regular movement of vehicles. Prior experience in automotive detailing is helpful but not mandatory. The primary purpose of this role is to support daily shop operations by transporting vehicles, assisting technicians, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. The position ensures vehicles move efficiently through the service process and are prepared for delivery. Safely transport vehicles to and from the shop area for service or body work. Move completed vehicles from the shop to designated parking areas. Assist body technicians with tools, parts, and minor tasks as needed. Perform vehicle preparation tasks, including washing, vacuuming, and wiping down surfaces. Align headlights or perform minor adjustments as directed. Maintain shop cleanliness by sweeping floors, emptying trash, and performing general housekeeping duties. Follow 5S and safety standards, ensuring a safe and organized work environment. Apply standard work principles and problem-solving practices in daily tasks. Complete additional duties as assigned by management. A high school diploma or GED is required. Minimum of 1 year of hands-on vehicle experience is preferred. On-the-job training is provided for role-specific tasks. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required. Basic knowledge of vehicle cleaning, detailing, and handling procedures is needed. Ability to assist technicians and safely operate shop equipment is required. Sit or stand for extended periods (frequently). Operate motor vehicles for vehicle transport and related tasks (frequently). Perform routine shop tasks including lifting, bending, and moving equipment or materials as required.
