Heluna Health invites applications for a Data Entry Clerk position with LA County Department of Public Health's Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity (ELC) to support comprehensive COVID-19 screening testing for K-12 schools for the 2021-2022 school year. The Data Entry Clerk will support the Data Manager to ensure compliance with CDC data and evaluation requirements as well as meeting local evaluation needs to inform planning and service delivery. Under the direction of the Data Manager, the Data Entry Clerk will perform data collection, entry and data clean-up within LA County Project. This is a full-time, temporary, position and generally work 40 hours per week. This is a temporary, grant-funded, full time, benefited position. This role will be primarily onsite at fixed, mobile, and designated school site operations. Remote work may be required for this program. Essential Functions
Perform data management tasks including review, verification and updating of health data records Maintain accurate documentation of all modifications made to health data records Maintain confidentiality of personal health information and follow departmental policies and procedures Perform other related duties as assigned by the Data Manager in support of the LA County Reopening of Schools COVID-19 screening program Job Qualifications
Preferred Education/Experience: Excellent command of the English language including grammar, spelling and punctuation Excellent organizational and analytical skills Demonstrated skills in modern office methods, procedures, and practices including typing, personal computer and internet search skills Demonstrated ability to enter alpha and numerical data with 100% accuracy into computerized systems Ability to follow detailed written instructions Ability to accurately look up personal health record data in computer systems Ability to adhere to confidentiality policies Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with staff Able to work independently with appropriate supervision Certificates/Licenses/Clearances: A Valid CA Driver's License and insurance Other Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities: Experience with data entry and data management/clean-up, preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High School degree, required. Physical Demands
