
Senior Analyst Catastrophe Risk & Exposure Analytics (REMOTE)

We are seeking a highly analytical
3P Resource
with an
actuarial background
to join the Climate Risk and Exposure Analytics team. This functional role sits at the intersection of risk strategy and data engineering, focusing on the visualization of catastrophe (CAT) loss forecasting and the optimization of risk frameworks. You will serve as a key liaison between modeling teams and data infrastructure initiatives, specifically supporting the transition from SQL to Snowflake. Key Responsibilities
CAT Loss Visualization:
Design and maintain accessible dashboards for visualizing catastrophe loss forecasts to support executive decision-making. Risk Framework Support:
Provide critical backup and analytical support for the
Concentration of Risk (CoR)
quarterly framework. Research & Innovation:
Investigate innovative concepts, including CoR metric projections and new strategies for enterprise risk management. Data Infrastructure Liaison:
Act as a functional bridge for modeling and data efforts, leading the transition of team data assets from
SQL to Snowflake . Peer Review & Reporting:
Execute and peer-review complex Excel reports and data queries to ensure high-quality research outputs.
Required Skills & Expertise
Actuarial Foundation:
A background in actuarial science is highly valued; progress through credentialing exams is welcomed but not the primary focus. Data Manipulation:
Expert-level proficiency in
SQL
for querying, extracting, and organizing complex datasets into actionable research. Geospatial Analytics:
Experience with geospatial visualization tools (e.g.,
ArcGIS ) to build spatial dashboards. Technical Stack:
Proficiency in
Excel
(complex reporting),
Snowflake
(data migration), and
Tableau/Power BI
(visualization). Domain Knowledge:
Solid understanding of
CAT models
and risk concentration metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
Specialized Knowledge:
A background in
Climate Risk
or
Meteorology . Advanced Analytics:
Experience with Snowflake data warehousing transitions. Certifications:
Interest or experience in Lean, BPM, or similar process improvement methodologies.
