Portfolio Specialist I
The Portfolio Specialist I position assists in day-to-day management of client portfolios and the investment management process. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 3-year previous experience in the investment field (including trading, reporting, and investment procedures) may be considered in lieu of degree. Responsibilities: Participate in the coordination and execution of daily mutual funds, stocks, and bond trading. Participate in investment strategy discussions and analysis of portfolios and underlying positions. Assist in monthly portfolio review and follow-up to ensure compliance. Assist with various administrative, filing, record-keeping, and organizational functions. Assist with the maintenance of the portfolio management system(s) regarding rules, model maintenance, allocations, and report packages. Monitor maturing bonds, directed trades, and authorizations. Assist with the daily trading of portfolio strategies. Assist in the preparation of internal and external presentations as needed. Participate in the preparation of the monthly Trust Investment Policy Committee packet. Participate in the preparation of the quarterly Investment Strategy Committee. Monitor/Review/Update information pertaining to Investment Policy Statements (IPS) for all discretionary accounts. Skills: Excellent mathematical and analytical skills; high level of attention to detail while pursuing quality in accomplishing tasks and ensuring timeliness of work; proficient reading, verbal and written communication, computer, and interpersonal relations skills; competent working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and trust accounting software.
