About the Role
The Company is in search of an Executive Director to lead its mission of expanding access to safe, stable, and affordable housing. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, community-oriented leader with a minimum of 3-5 years' senior-level experience, preferably in a nonprofit or similar community-serving organization. The role involves serving as a strategic leader and external ambassador, with a focus on relationship building, fundraising, and advancing key programs. The Executive Director will be responsible for diversifying revenue streams, strengthening community partnerships, and ensuring the organization's long-term sustainability. Essential qualifications include a visionary and strategic leadership style, expertise in fundraising and resource development, strong business and financial acumen, and the ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
Key priorities for the Executive Director include strengthening internal operations, communication, and capacity, as well as leading a more intentional strategic planning process. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional communicator, an effective team leader, and a collaborative partner with the Board of Directors. They should be adaptable, solutions-oriented, and have a strong understanding of affordable housing, community development, or related fields. The role requires a leader who is adept at managing multiple priorities, driving complex projects, and delivering results in a dynamic environment. The Executive Director will also be expected to foster a supportive work environment, with a focus on staff development and retention, and to ensure that the organization's growth is both sustainable and mission-aligned.
