You Can Look Forward To These Exciting Tasks
Provide strategic legal leadership across the Americas, aligning legal initiatives with business goals and global standards.
Oversee corporate governance, legal risk management, and regulatory compliance for all regional entities.
Advise executive leadership on strategic and day-to-day legal matters, including contracts, disputes, and business operations.
Lead negotiation and drafting of complex commercial agreements (e.g., supplier, OEM, M&A, real estate, licensing, and technology).
Identify and mitigate legal and regulatory risks impacting operations, supply chains, and product launches.
Manage litigation, arbitration, and claims, with authority to negotiate and approve settlements.
Support crisis management and serve as a liaison with global legal teams to ensure cross-border coordination.
Lead legal aspects of M&A, corporate governance, and intellectual property protection (including patents and trade secrets).
This Is What You Bring To Us
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, required – Active license to practice law within Michigan.
Progressive legal experience, including automotive manufacturing or Tier 1 supplier environment, complex commercial contracting with OEM customers.
10+ years in‑house counsel experience within a corporate environment.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing in‑house legal teams and direct reports.
Proven ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
Experience managing global legal issues and cross‑functional stakeholders.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and executive level advisory skills.
Strategic thinker with strong business acumen.
