We’re supporting our client, a leading packaging manufacturer based in New Jersey who are looking for a Continuous Improvement Leader to join their growing team. This is a key role focused on driving efficiency, standardization and cultural transformation across the facility.
Job Summary: As a Continuous Improvement Leader, you’ll be responsible for analysis of current processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and lead initiatives that elevate productivity, quality, and operational consistency. This role will collaborate closely with all departments - including Design, Production, and Operations - to ensure alignment and sustainable process optimisation.
Responsibilities:
Lead continuous improvement initiatives across the corrugated packaging production process
Analyse workflow, equipment performance, and operational data to identify inefficiencies
Reduce set‑up times and drive improvements in throughput and machine utilisation
Work closely with the Design department to standardise processes and specifications
Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other teams to implement best‑practice manufacturing methods
Develop and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the facility
Implement Lean, 5S, SMED, and other CI methodologies to streamline operations
Monitor KPIs and track progress of improvement projects
Train and coach staff on new processes and operational excellence practices
About You:
Experience in packaging manufacturing is essential
Strong background in Continuous Improvement, Process Engineering, or Operational Excellence
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related CI tools
Demonstrated ability to reduce waste, shorten changeover times, and boost production efficiency
Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
A proactive, hands‑on problem‑solver with a passion for process optimisation
Ability to lead culture change and influence teams at all levels
Candidates must be eligible to work and live in the USA.
