
Senior Investor Accounting Analyst – Loan Accounting (CRE Focus)

Position Summary
We are seeking a Senior Investor Accounting Analyst to support investor and loan accounting activities within a commercial real estate (CRE) servicing environment. This role focuses on cash management, reconciliations, transaction research, and investor reporting across loan portfolios. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in high‑volume financial environments, strong analytical skills, and the ability to ensure accuracy across complex financial data. This is a hybrid role working onsite 3 days a week in St. Paul, MN, or Houston, TX. Essential Duties
Perform daily cash management activities, including tracking, balancing, and movement of funds. Execute detailed reconciliations and resolve discrepancies through transaction‑level and loan‑level research. Prepare and review remittance and investor reporting. Support loan accounting activities, including funding, purchases, and securitization processes. Maintain accuracy of financial data within servicing systems (e.g., Precision or similar). Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with SOX controls. Experience mentoring, reviewing, or partnering with junior team members in a team‑based environment. Partner with and provide oversight to junior team members, including reviewing work, offering guidance, and supporting day‑to‑day workflow execution. Identify and implement process improvements. Prepare ad hoc reporting for management and stakeholders. Qualifications
4–5+ years of experience in accounting, loan servicing, investor accounting, or financial operations. Strong experience with cash management, reconciliations, and financial data analysis. Experience mentoring, reviewing, or partnering with junior team members in a team‑based environment. Experience performing transaction‑level research and resolving discrepancies. Advanced Excel skills with large datasets. Experience in a regulated environment (SOX, audit, or compliance). Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Skills and Job‑Specific Competencies
Experience in CRE, lending, mortgage banking, or agency servicing. Exposure to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, or CMBS investor reporting. Experience with servicing systems such as Precision. Prior experience mentoring or supporting junior team members. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Travel Requirements
