What You’ll Do
Drive the development and implementation of the GSLT (Gartner Senior Leadership Team) development strategy in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
Lead the creation, execution, and continuous improvement of leadership development programs and interventions for VP+ leaders, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and measurable business outcomes.
Provide thought leadership by researching, recommending, and applying innovative and effective approaches for developing and assessing VP+ leaders.
Ensure the integration of Gartner’s Leadership Principles in all leadership development resources, programs, and experiences.
Oversee the development and curation of leadership development tools and resources (e.g., handbooks, toolkits, guides), ensuring they are user‑friendly, relevant, and scalable.
Facilitate leadership development and learning programs, workshops, events, and activities from across the full LPD portfolio (Succeeding@Gartner, Managing@Gartner & Leading@Gartner).
Continuously develop your own facilitation capabilities using LPD Facilitation Competencies, while actively coaching and supporting junior team members in strengthening their facilitation skills.
Work collaboratively across the broader Talent Effectiveness team and with internal stakeholders, provide and receive feedback openly, and have high standards for self and others.
Ensure leadership development experiences are strategically aligned with talent mapping, annual talent reviews, and the overall talent management strategy.
Coach leaders on 360 feedback and other assessment results, typically when connected to a leadership development event or program.
Conduct tailored needs assessments and analyze talent/business data to identify capability gaps and design targeted development solutions for top-performing VP+ leaders (talent placements 7, 8, 9).
Identify and address BU specific VP+ leadership development needs, leveraging talent and business data to design targeted solutions that directly support business unit’s priorities and challenges.
Develop project & program implementation plans that ensure high-quality participant experiences, scalability, ongoing program sustainability and cost-effectiveness.
Analyze program evaluation and measurement data to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
What You’ll Need
People management experience.
Demonstrated experience in executive coaching, leadership executive consultation, and leadership development programming delivery.
Confidence in communicating and working with senior and executive leaders.
Strong project management skills and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Proven experience in designing and implementing leadership development programs end to end.
Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills - demonstrated ability to bring concepts to life through visual design.
Strong knowledge of leadership theories, models, and best practices.
Ability to gain an in-depth understanding and analyze key business drivers, strategy goals, and challenges to effectively support the organization.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. Establishes a high level of credibility quickly; appropriate confidence to gain the trust and respect of key stakeholders and leaders.
Negotiates well in difficult situations, with a deep sensitivity to cultural and regional differences.
Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Analytical mindset, with the ability to evaluate program effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or relevant experience.
