Position Summary The Nutrition Division of Archer Daniels Midland Co. is actively seeking an initiative‑taking and experienced Strategic Sales Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in sales, exceptional leadership skills, and a deep understanding of customer relationship management.

Individual will be responsible for managing foodservice brokers, selling Pasteurized Process Cheese and custom cheese sauce to foodservice operators, broadline distributors, and food manufacturers. Additional responsibilities include identifying opportunities for food flavorings, specialty ingredients, and complete formula solutions from the ADM Nutrition portfolio to customers. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, opening new markets, managing distributor marketing programs and promotions, operator pricing requests and developing long‑term relationships.

Job Responsibilities

Account Management:

Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts.

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, brokers, and distributors, the demands of the business promptly.

Monitor customer satisfaction and work to resolve any issues that arise.

Sales Strategy and Execution:

Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve sales targets and objectives.

Drive expansion into new markets and penetrate further into existing territories.

Identify new business opportunities and potential customers.

Conduct product cuttings and trade show demonstrations with creativity, showing the value of versatility of products.

Revenue Growth:

Drive revenue growth by onboarding new distributors, operators, and industrial accounts.

Negotiate marketing programs and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales quotas.

Product Knowledge:

Serve as the primary point of contact for product knowledge, manufacturing process, and application of product line.

Provide insights and recommendations to improve sales strategies and product offerings.

Team Collaboration:

Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless customer experience.

Mentor and support brokers, distributor sales representatives, sharing application best practices and providing guidance.

Reporting and Documentation:

Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and account information.

Prepare regular reports on sales performance, account status, and market trends for senior management.

Demonstrate strong organization, time management and communication skills.

Required Skills

Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

Ability to build and maintain long‑term relationships with brokers and customers

Ability to rapidly assimilate CRM software and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Culinary Arts

Required Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer‑facing activity with focus on account and business opportunity management.

Experience in specialty foodservice channel sales, ingredient sales.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Desired Experience

Culinary arts experience as a Chef or similar executive position.

Conversational Spanish is a plus.

Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Office, SAP.

Compensation Base pay range: $92,800.00 – $172,800.00.

Salaried Incentive Plan: The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and commissions.

Hourly and salaried non‑exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
