Electrical Designer - Industrial Equipment

Overview As a part of the Lockheed Martin community, we take on challenges and find solutions using creativity and collaboration. We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support multiple programs in the Integrated Warfare Systems & Sensors business. This position requires knowledge of electrical engineering principles, working in a team environment, and general knowledge of other related disciplines. Specific tasking will be but not limited to overall design of launcher electrical systems, including the selection and use of Commercial Off the Shelf components, custom hardware design, and setting requirements for chassis/enclosure design. Support the electrical design sustainment of the MK41 Vertical Launching System and new and exciting designs of the next generation of launcher and weapon systems across various platforms.

Responsibilities

Apply electrical engineering and electronics skills and have applicable knowledge of other related disciplines supporting successful design activities.

Conduct or participate in the design, development, and testing of electronic and electrical components, sub-systems and systems.

Develop technical documentation such as initial design specifications, schematics, assembly drawings and parts list as well as preparing test procedures and reports to ensure customer and company requirements are met.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering or scientific field.

Experience supporting multi-disciplinary engineering teams in electronic system development.

Working experience in one or more of the following technical areas: Electrical System Integration/Development, Complex Cable Design, Circuit Card Assembly Design, Electrical Bonding and Grounding of Enclosures, FPGA Selection/Programming.

Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or other related engineering or scientific field (optional).

Security Clearance: This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Additional Information Ability to Work Remotely:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week.
