Purpose of the Role: Essential in ensuring the business operates with a strong focus on safety, quality, and production. The Vice President of Operations will play a key part in supporting city leaders with the planning, leadership, and oversight of daily operations. The position is responsible for assisting project managers, field managers, and foremen in meeting client needs across the various city markets where Cherry Coatings operates.

Responsibilities
55% Oversee day‑to‑day commercial painting operations from a high level within your region
Maintaining a safety‑first culture
Help in recruiting and hiring field personnel
Training and mentorship of all paint‑related project managers, field managers, and foremen
Work with the PMs and city leaders to help move men and allocate proper manpower on projects
Meet with general contractors to ensure Cherry is delivering while protecting sequencing and solving problems
Attend project meetings for schedule concerns, change order collection, quality issues, risk management, safety issues
Hold accountable change order logs and extra work is accounted for on projects
Review job cost sheets to ensure profitability and control costs
Walk jobs with PM and FM and use this as a time to train/grow your team
Review scheduling of all field staff to ensure we are properly staffed with the right people in the right places
Find and onboard subs; evaluate their abilities, set pay rates, hold accountable
Constantly evaluate and set the standard for safety in your market with employees and subs
Understand unique aspects of each job type and how Cherry executes it
Execute and hold teams accountable for safety, quality, and production
Review operational problems or inefficiencies and make corrective actions, find lean ways to execute
Conduct field manager & foreman meetings on a routine basis to identify and resolve concerns and opportunities for improvement using the EOS System
Conduct frequent job walks to ensure safety/quality/production standards are being met
Work with your team to implement the vision and execution of the VTO
Assist the city leaders in developing new products, services, and subsidiaries
Innovative approach to projects, problems, and future products
Attend preconstruction meetings to ensure seamless project starts with field leadership
Help in the same way in other markets as they get developed
15% Assist PMs and FMs to ensure we approach the job with an innovative spirit and with the right process
Use your expertise to collaborate on project approach
Help assist in product selection/education for difficult projects
Provide advice on how to approach situations that arise on job sites
Look over schedules for changes for impacts to our bottom line
