
Homeless Prevention Program Director II

Job Summary
The Youth Engagement Team (YET) Program Director will oversee the development and execution of the YET consortium, which includes multiple programs designed to support unaccompanied youth at risk of or currently experiencing homelessness. These programs utilize a multi‑disciplinary approach integrating housing navigation, legal advocacy, and mental health support. The Director is responsible for managing Y programs and subgrantees receiving pass‑through funding, ensuring that both programs and subgrantees collaborate effectively to deliver services in alignment with contractual agreements. This includes supervising YET staff, coordinating services, streamlining processes, generating referral processes, and ensuring compliance with funding requirements. The Director will ensure that the team operates within a trauma‑informed, positive youth development framework while managing core services to support youth stabilization. The Director will also monitor program outcomes, track performance targets, and ensure compliance with funding requirements. This oversight is crucial for achieving positive outcomes and the effective use of resources. The Director will lead collaboration meetings, strengthening partnerships with internal teams and external stakeholders, to ensure services are integrated, responsive to youth needs, and compliant with all standards.
Position Type and Hours This position is full‑time and exempt. The Director will work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with flexible working hours, including occasional evening or weekend shifts, depending on the needs of the team and ongoing projects. The role requires a balance of remote work, in‑office attendance, and participation in community events. Travel between King County and Pierce County will be required. Regular in‑office attendance (at minimum 2-3 days a week) and timely travel are essential to maintaining effective team collaboration and the success of the consortium’s initiatives.

Responsibilities
Oversee program development, implementation, and monitor delivery.
Ensure high‑quality programs through innovative evaluations and ongoing staff training.
Recruit, hire, train, evaluate, and supervise direct service staff and volunteers.
Provide development, leadership, and support for staff and program subgrantees.
Lead collaboration meetings with subgrantees.
Monitor program outcomes and goals in line with contract requirements, assess contract performance, ensure compliance, conduct data quality assurance, and support subgrantees in achieving desired program outcomes.
Collaborate with other Program Directors and Y Social Impact Center leadership to provide support, leadership, and cross‑divisional insights.
Monitor staff productivity, utilization, and documentation in Credible (EHR) and other required systems as contractually outlined.
Manage program spending, budgets, approve expenses, and ensure adherence to financial expectations. Monitor the spend‑down of client assistance funds and ensure financial resources are allocated effectively.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations, schools, and agencies related to youth, young adult, and family support programs.
Work with the Learning & Impact Team to ensure staff are trained, data is collected, and program participants engage in feedback surveys and evaluations.
Complete and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual program progress reports to funders and provide required data and reports on program effectiveness.
Provide leadership and support for the annual fundraising campaign and volunteer committees/boards as assigned.
Participate in on‑call rotation with other leaders, providing after‑hours crisis support to Swing and overnight staff, approximately every seven weeks.

Qualifications
2+ years of leadership and experience with staff and volunteer supervision, program development, and budget management.
Experience with monitoring grants or contracts with subgrantees.
Experience and knowledge with youth behavior management and child abuse prevention.
Intermediate computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office suite.
Ability to visit sites and community organizations.
Accomplished project management expertise with proven execution of deliverables in a timeline.
Broad knowledge of program areas, funders, community partners.
Ability to handle multiple projects/tasks and juggle priorities while meeting multiple deadlines.
Ability to use good judgment to make sound decisions and resolve problems.
Ability to maintain confidential information and use discretion.
Ability to gain cooperation of others, work effectively as a member of a team, and develop and maintain positive working relationships in a team‑oriented environment.
Ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant program area or equivalent education/experience. Other applicable education, training, and experience, which provide the knowledge, abilities, and skills necessary to perform effectively in the position, will be considered.
Life experience with poverty, child welfare, homelessness, behavioral health, or youth violence and a desire to use that experience to improve the lives of others.
Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
Ability to speak any language in addition to English.
