Proven ability to drive compliance and performance metrics The Director of Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) - Biomed provides executive-level leadership and oversight for the Healthcare Technology Management program at assigned facility(ies). This is NOT an IT role. The position leads the department responsible for medical equipment management, biomedical engineering services, regulatory compliance, vendor oversight, and clinical engineering operations. The Director ensures alignment with UHS corporate HTM strategy while delivering safe, compliant, cost-effective, and high-performing biomedical services. Key Responsibilities
Lead implementation of UHS Corporate HTM program and strategic initiatives Develop short- and long-term HTM strategic plans Oversee medical device lifecycle management and integration Direct operations, risk management, and cybersecurity coordination related to medical equipment Ensure regulatory compliance with all healthcare technology standards Manage vendor contracts and service agreements Oversee fiduciary responsibilities including budget management Develop and execute departmental KPIs Build and strengthen facility and vendor relationships Recruit, develop, mentor, and motivate the HTM/Biomed team Drive continuous quality improvement initiatives Required Qualifications
Minimum: Technical School Certification or Associate's Degree 5-8 years of related experience in Healthcare Technology Management (HTM), Clinical Engineering, or Biomedical Engineering Strong experience with healthcare technology management programs Experience leading biomedical or clinical engineering operations Proficiency with Microsoft Office products Experience with CMMS systems Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Prior healthcare facility experience Experience in KPI development and performance management Vendor and contract negotiation experience
