Private Equity Performance Improvement—Technology Industry Group A&M is expanding its Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) –Technology Industry Group team to support upper middle‑market and large‑cap private equity firms. The group focuses on creating and capturing value through structured and disciplined operational and commercial due diligence and performance improvement.
How You Will Contribute Key responsibilities include:
Preparation of major client deliverables, including full ownership of market models and specific workstreams with limited support from senior project team.
Actively lead detailed analyses to support project objectives and client needs.
Independently structure and deliver workstreams to ensure successful execution of commercial due diligence projects together with the CDD leadership team across various industries.
Design, manage, and analyze complex surveys; knowledge of Tableau/BI is a plus.
Gather data through desktop research, expert interviews, and surveys.
Drive in-depth analyses to uncover transaction risks and identify opportunities for post‑transaction value creation.
Work with cross‑functional project teams to address challenges and deliver results, collaborating with other due diligence workstreams such as ODD, ITDD, FDD, or TaxDD.
Deliver high‑quality reports on key topics in the shortest possible time.
Qualifications
Successfully delivered 10+ CDD/VDD projects.
Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic performance.
2–4+ years of professional consulting experience with software and technology‑oriented clients specializing in buy‑side and sell‑side commercial due diligence.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, and ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insight.
Experience leading workstreams in a CDD, excellent written and verbal communication, and confident presentation skills.
Strong experience in bottom‑up and top‑down market sizing, taking full ownership of a market model from day 1.
Strong experience in survey analysis, including questionnaire design, data analysis, and slide development.
Technology sector experience in M&A and performance improvement.
Team‑oriented, adaptable, curious, quick learner.
Highly advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, excellent communication abilities.
Driven, critical thinker with strong initiative.
Willing to travel up to 25%.
Benefits & Compensation Base salary range: $90,000–$130,000 annually, dependent on education, experience, skills, and geography. A&M offers a discretionary bonus program based on individual and firm performance. Employees also receive a discretionary 401(k) contribution from A&M, healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD&D, disability coverage, paid vacation, personal days, sick time, federal holidays, floating holiday, and parental leave.
