This is a full-time, in-person position. Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage on-site lifting, hoisting, mobile equipment, and crane/rigging activities for large-scale mission-critical, aviation, and other complex projects by collaborating with project superintendents, project managers, trade partners, and craft performing high-risk lifting activities. Implement industry best practices to promote a world-class safety culture focused on preventing serious injuries and fatalities (SIFs). Mentor trade partners to ensure robust and effective safety programs and controls for hoisting activities. Provide technical expertise to proactively manage crane lifts and associated high-risk activities, ensuring appropriate safety measures are in place. Track and analyze safety data to support proactive safety management. Monitor daily construction activities for compliance with OSHA, company, and client policies. Coordinate on-site training and Holder/client-driven safety initiatives. Qualifications
Required: 5–10 years of crane and rigging experience. NCCCO Lift Director certification or local equivalent. Experience in logistics planning and management for large, complex projects. Formal safety training and competency in hazardous energy control, LOTO, scaffolding, crane management, steel erection, emergency response, fall management, excavation and confined space, rigging, hazardous waste, and erosion control. Ability to identify and correct safety deficiencies in the field. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all organizational levels. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other technology tools supporting safety efforts. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or related field. Professional safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CHST, SMS) or relevant crane and rigging certifications demonstrating technical competency. Holder is committed to Equal Opportunity Employment (EOE).
