Associate Vice President for Enrollment Marketing and Creative Services

Overview The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) seeks an experienced and forward‑thinking marketing leader to serve as Associate Vice President for Enrollment Marketing and Creative Services (AVP). This senior leadership role oversees all enrollment marketing activities and the Creative team of the Division of Marketing and Communications.

Responsibilities

Oversee and align all enrollment marketing activities with the strategic enrollment plan.

Lead the Creative Services team of 11 professionals, fostering a proactive, strategic, and efficient unit.

Serve as chief creative director for marketing plans and deliverables, ensuring consistency and high quality.

Manage the department budget with a focus on maximizing return on investment.

Collaborate closely with Marketing and Communications leadership and the Vice President of Enrollment Management.

Foster a culture of constructive critique and feedback to meet the changing needs of the university.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, design, writing, or a related field.

At least seven years of progressive leadership experience in creative management.

Extensive knowledge of marketing best practices and a proven track record of leading creative professionals and managing complex projects successfully.

Experience in higher education and/or working with bicultural audiences is preferred.
