
Sr. Proposal Manager

We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Sr. Proposal Manager with experience in supporting DoD & IC customers. They will lead and coordinate the development of compliant, high quality proposals for government contracting opportunities. This role oversees the full proposal lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery, effective collaboration across teams, and alignment with solicitation requirements and organizational objectives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong command of federal contracting practices, including extensive experience working with U.S. Government solicitations governed by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related agency supplements. They should bring proven experience supporting proposal efforts for defense, intelligence, or other federal agencies, and demonstrate the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, external partners, and government customers throughout the full proposal lifecycle.
Responsibilities
Manage end to end proposal development for government solicitations, including RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and task orders
Review solicitation documents, develop compliance matrices, and establish proposal schedules, outlines, and templates
Facilitate kickoff meetings, status updates, and review cycles to keep contributors aligned and on track
Draft, edit, and refine proposal content; work with SMEs to translate technical information into clear, compelling narratives
Ensure all proposal materials meet compliance, formatting, and evaluation requirements
Coordinate inputs from internal teams, subcontractors, and partners; maintain version control and organized documentation
Oversee final production and submission, including electronic uploads to government portals
Support post submission activities such as clarifications, revisions, and lessons learned reviews
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, English, Public Administration, or a related field
8 years of experience in proposal management, proposal coordination, or related roles supporting government contracts
Strong understanding of government acquisition processes and solicitation structures
Excellent writing, editing, organization, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
Familiarity with proposal development methodologies preferred
Work Conditions
Must be able to lift and carry materials weighing up to 20 lbs
Occasional travel may be required, up to approximately 10%
Role may involve periods of standing for 30 minutes or longer during meetings, reviews, or production activities
