Job Summary Understanding API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) market for assigned countries/regions. Must have prior experience in regulated pharma markets such as USA, Europe, LATAM, APAC, Russia, MENA, S. Korea, Japan, Taiwan etc. Requires mapping of local pharmaceutical industry key players, API demand, supply, key regulatory, technical and commercial requirements and developing business with customers to drive and expand API business.
Areas of Responsibility Business Development
Understanding API market for the assigned region.
Mapping of local pharmaceutical industry key players, API demand, supply, regulatory, technical and commercial requirements.
Mapping internal API product portfolio to identify key products for promotion.
Connecting with potential customers, pitching products, exploring opportunities, leading price negotiations, and evaluating deals.
Sales and Marketing
Drive sales target achievement for the assigned region.
Identify business opportunities and devise marketing strategies to expand customer base, increase market share, and drive revenue growth.
Manage key customer accounts, maintain long‑term relationships, and ensure high customer satisfaction by meeting delivery and service quality norms.
Collect market intelligence: customer and market needs, competitor activity, and industry best practices.
Sales Allied Functions
Work with cross‑functional teams (regulatory, finance, quality, R&D, Operations, SCM) to drive customer relationship management, resolve queries, manage documentation and approvals, and follow up on payments.
Coordinate with other departments to plan orders, provide capacity planning input, and ensure timely product delivery while adhering to regulations.
