Job Description: Hitachi Energy is seeking a Continuous Improvement Leader – North America for the Integrated Transformer Management (ITM) System business unit. The role leads and drives sustainable and transformational changes across the end-to-end product line, focusing on process improvement, ITM System maturity, KPI improvement, and best‑practice implementation across multiple factories. The successful candidate partners with the I&C Product Line Leader, functional leaders, and factory managers. Your responsibilities

Partner with product line cross‑functional leadership to develop and operationalize the Strategy Deployment process and Operations Center approach, facilitating breakthrough objectives, action plans, KPI’s, and Kaizen plans. Lead operationalization of Strategy Deployment, ensuring effective Leader Standard Work (LSW) and a connected Lean daily management system. Act as a change agent and champion of a continuous improvement culture, eliminating waste using ITM System lean methods (e.g., 5S, Daily Management, LSW, Value Stream or Process Mapping, Kaizen). Lead all activities to implement the ITM System, drive improved maturity scores, and advance factories through ITM deployment phases. Drive KPI optimization throughout product line factories and functional organizations. Lead and facilitate process improvement, partnering with cross‑functional teams to use ITM System tools to boost productivity. Develop financial acumen to ensure priority actions focus on cost‑out and bottom‑line targets. Create, manage, and facilitate cost‑out and productivity projects to achieve product line targets. Train team members in using RELEX reporting for improvement projects, ensure sustainment of results, and support problem solving to close gaps, driving transactional process improvements. Build continuous improvement capability through training and implementation of ITM System tools. Serve as ITM System expert, coaching others to build organizational capabilities and fostering a culture of employee engagement and accountability. Conduct training and coaching to align product line ITM leaders and factory managers in standardized ITM deployment, driving best‑practice implementation and face‑to‑face learning across product line factories. Develop an effective management operating system and build a team of ITM system professionals to drive improved ITM maturity. Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business. 15+ years in Lean operating/management systems, continuous improvement, manufacturing, engineering, or transactional process improvement. Experience implementing major Lean systems (e.g., Toyota, Danaher, Honeywell). Certifications in Lean/Six Sigma (Lean Master, Lean Expert, Black Belt) are a plus. Proven track record of delivering breakthrough results. Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and influencing skills. Ability to lead remote teams and travel min. 50% to NAM product line factories and for Kaizens and strategic workshops. Ability to influence leadership teams to implement transformational change.
